Purity

Purity. It's something that is very precious and taken very lightly in our generation. In our world you hear about girls getting pregnant before they're even an adult. They even have a show about this called: 16 and Pregnant. The world says to do whatever makes you feel good, but do they talk about the repercussions? Me and my mom were discussing this the other day when we heard something said about this on the radio. One of the speakers on this radio braodcast said, "Why do we tell them not to have sex? I mean its fun." And this made me think, "What has our world come to?" Purity is something special. You should save yourself for your future husband or wife. I have made an oath to be abstinate and wait for my husband. I wear my purity ring with pride. Knowing that I have made a promise to myself and my future husband. The Jonas Bothers anounced that they wear purity rings and many girls have done the same because of it. My question is do they really mean to stay pure or are they just wearing the ring because of the Jonas Brothers? If you wear the ring that means you have made a promise and you plan on keeping that promise. It is'nt something that you can take lightly. The Bible says in Phillipians 4:8," Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if any worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things."
