FAITH!

Ok so today I was on Google, and I was looking up words that meant something to me. Words like: love, hope, dreams, destiny, and some other inspirational words. And while I was looking I thought about faith. The word poped into my head and I started thinking. What really is faith? In Matthew 17:20 it says, "And he said to them, 'Becasue of your littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you."(NASB)I mean how crazy would that be?! If you told a mountain to move and it did, and all it takes a little faith. The dictionary has about 8 different definitions of the word faith, but there were two that really caught my eye. The first is: faith is trust in God and His promises as made through Christ and the scriptures by which humans are justified or saved. The second is: faith is the belief in anyting, as a code of ethics, standards of merit, and so on. These definitions have totally different content. One is the Christian outlook and the other is what the world sees faith to be. When I think of faith the first thing that pops into my head is my faith in my Savior, but I also think of my friends. I put alot of faith in my friends that i can trust them and that they'll be there for me in any sircustance. I have faith that my friends will stop me from doing something that will hurt me or others. There are so many things that we have faith in that we dont even realize. Faith that we're going to make it through the night, that our friends and family will almost always be there for us.
